The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to Scotland who visited four different attractions from 1980 to 2010.
The presented line graph provides a comparison of the proportion of people to Scotland visiting four different spots: Aquarium, Castle, Zoo and Festival between 1980 and 2010.
From an overall perspective, it is evident that the percentage of tourists to Scotland who visited Castle and Zoo showed an upward trend, whereas a reserve pattern could be observed in the figure for Aquarium and Festival.
In 1980, the ratio of visitors in Scotland was highest, at exactly 30%, while the respective figures for Castle and Aquarium were lower, at roughly 23% and 20%. People who paid a visit to the Zoo, however, accounted for the lowest number, at a mere 10%.
After reaching a peak of 45% in 1995, the statistics of tourists in Scotland witnessed an exponential decline to 35% in 2000, prior to remaining stable for the next 10 years. It is also noticeable that there was a substantial fluctuation during the period from 1980 to 2000 in the data of who visited the zoo, and this was followed by a significant climb of 10% to the last year of the survey. By contrast, Aquarium’s rate of attendants attracted a considerable decrease of 15% to 2010 after a serious variability of 10% can be experienced in 1995. It is interesting to note that the 30-year period from 1980 to 2010 saw a steady fall of 10% in the figure for the festival.
