The map below shows the changes in an American town between 1948 and 2010
The given maps illustrate the layout of an American town in 2010 with that of 1948.
Overall, there have not been considerable changes, even though several buildings were altered and built.
Firstly, it is clear that residential apartments in the south-east corner of the town were not changed, also , the street of the town and the canal did not see any alterations. Furthermore, the trees of the town were not chopped for new constructions. Apart from that, the petrol station down the streets, which run south-west to north-east was not demolished or repositioned.
Turning to the changes of the town, numerous changes occured during the period. The factories in the north-east were knocked down and the airport was constructed instead. New commercial buildings were built in lieu of old local supermarket in the north-west of the town. Moreover, the church was unbuilt and the big stadium replaced it. Also, the housing area in the middle of the town was changed to new commercial buildings.
