The given maps illustrates how the centre of town known as Islip varied before and after developing centre.
To begin with, it can be clearly seen that Islip town centre was quite simple, compared with developed town centre. In the north side, it was countryside and it also seemed that there was nothing. In addtion, there were 2 shops alongside the main road and there were 2 roads which are connected to the park and to school in both side of main road. Also, numerous houses were located in the south side.
Meanwhile, it was considered that various things will change after development of town. Firstly, the road will disappear after development and it will become to surround the centre of town and it also will be dual carriageway. Furthermore, the bus station, the shopping centre and the car park will be situated where the shop was in the north side. The main road will change as a pedestrian path. On the other hand, the shops below main road will remain in the town. Moreover, the new housings will be built instead of old housings, and the park will get smaller than before consequently.
