% of people who enjoy various movie types (2000)
The proportion of males and females watching six genres of film in 2000 is illustrated by the graph.
Overall, it is evident that the movie such as action and romantic shared the highest number of female audiences, while men outnumbered women in four types of film (war, sport, comedy, and mystery).
Generally, there were two types of movie having the highest number of the female viewer (action and romance genre), accounted for 17% and 18% each. Then, the number of women watching the sports movie was similar to the number of men watching a romance movie (1% each). After that, the movie such as war, comedy, and thriller was the genre where the number of women viewer lower than of that men.
Men, however, having the majority of viewer on the film such as war and sport types, accounted for 20% and 13% respectively. Following that, men also observed having a bigger number of audience on mystery and comedy film (8% and 9% each).
