The pie chart illustrates the comparison between the amount of energy produced in 1995 and 2005.
Overall, it seems that coal, gas and petrol were the most widely used substance for the production of energy during both years. One other interesting thing to note is that, coal and gas seems to be on top in 2005 even after a decade of development in alternative and renewable energy sources.
Looking into the details, in 1995 coal and gas were the most used providing around 29%. Fuels like petrol which were primarily used in automotive were also providing the same amount of energy in 1995. Alternative energy forms like nuclear power were only able to produce around 7%. The rest of the 4% of energy were produced in other forms.
In 2005, coal and gas were able to produce around 30% of energy as opposed to petrol which was only produce around 19% of the total energy. The development in electric automotive may caused the downfall in petrol usage. On the other hand nuclear energy went up to a total of 10% and the rest of the 9% of energy was produced from other forms of energy.
