Essay topics:

The table below gives information about the population in Australia and Malaysia in 1980 and 2002.

The table compares two different countries, namely Australia and Malaysia, in terms of residents between 1980 and 2002.
Generally, at every indicator in Malaysia taller than that of Australia, excepting the rate of female and old people. Especially, the ration genders in both nations were almost perfectly balanced.
According to the table, the difference in total citizens in both territories were minimal, at only about 1 million. However, the difference was around 5 million in 2002, as the population in Malaysia almost doubled. Noticeable, the proportion of people aged over 65 in Malaysia were only approximately 4% in both years, while the figures for Australia were higher much, at 9.6% and 12.4% in 1980 and 2002 respectively.
As can be seen from the table, the Male and female population in Australia remained unchanged in both years. Meanwhile, the figures for Malaysia increased slightly and decreased mildly by 0.3% in 2002, respectively. The percentage of birth in Malaysia was twice as high as that of Australia (3.2% and 2.2% compared to 1.5% and 1.3%). As a result, the average annual population growth in Malaysia also higher.
