The table below gives the information about spending on different advertisement methods of four car companies in UK in 2008
The table illustrates the percentage of total advertisement expenditure in 5 platforms in 2008 in 4 car companies, namely Bentley, Land Rover, MG, Lotus.
In general, what stands out from the table is that the highest proportion of spending which 4 companies earned was television ads. It is also clear to see that the expenditure of radio ads which 4 companies gained recorded the lowest proportion in 5 platforms.
In the Bentley company, while the proportion of television ads made up 36,91% in total, the figure for the others accounted for only under 16%. A similar pattern could be seen in the Lotus company. The figure for television ads was 39,14%, which was at least one and a half times more than those of the other advertisement platforms.
Such a similar trend is not seen in the other companies, the proportion of television ads in the Land Rover company made up 25.67% while the figure for magazine ads was only lower by about more than 2%. In the meantime, in the MG company, 22,96% was the lowest percentage of television ads in 4 companies while the highest proportion in radio ads could be seen in this company, with 7.98%.
