The table below shows the number of medals won by the top ten countries in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The given table depicts the record for top ten countries who earned the number of medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) in the London Olympic Games in 2012.

Overall, the United states secured first rank by winning highest medals in all the category while the Australia was at the 10th position in that Olympic Games.

Regarding the table, the USA was on the top most position with 46 Gold, 29 Silver and 29 Bronze medals in that Olympic Games whereas the Australian got only 7 Golds and remained at 10th number, but they earned more Silver and Bronze in comparison with Italy, Hungary, France and South Korea. Similarly, the Chinese won 38 Gold, 25 Silver and 22 Bronze medals and acquired 2nd rank in table.

The 3rd, 4th and 5th position was obtained by the Russia, South Korea and Germany with 29, 24 and 13 Golds respectively. However, The Germany and France received 11 Golds each but the German bagged 19 Silver in contrast to only 11 by France which resulted in 6th rank for the Germany. The same thing happened in the case of Italy and Hungary, they both got 8 golds but the Hungarian was able to achieved only 4 silvers compared to 9 by Italian Athletes, due to that they were at 8th position.
