The table below shows the number of medals won by the top ten countries in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The table shows the top ten medal earning country in the London Olympic Games that was held in the year 2012. The United States won the highest number of medals however the Hungary won the least number of medals in this competition.

The detail shows that USA won the highest number of medals in all and the number was 104. The USA also was the top owner of Gold and Silver medals. Two Asian countries were in the top-ten-list and they were China and South Korea. China won 88 medals in total and 29 of them were gold medals. South Korea occupied the 5th position with 28 medals in all. The 3rd and 4th position were occupied by UK and Russia respectively. However, Russia won more medals (82) than UK (65), but UK won more gold medals than Russia, so it could get better position. Russian got the highest number of Bronze medal than other countries which the number was 32. The rest countries who were in the Top-ten-list were Germany, France, Italy, Hungary and Australia. And Australia got the least number of gold medals so it ranked in 10th position of the list.
