Overall, in Luxembourg teachers had the highest salaries of the 6 countries in 2009. Meanwhile, Australia was ranked as having the lowest teacher income.
Looking at details, the starting salary for Luxembourg was 80.000 dollars. However, after 15 years it increased to 119.000 dollars, and it peaked to 132.000 dollars after 30 years. On the other hand, the second range was Japan with a dramatically higher salary from 34.000 dollars to 86.000 in 37 years later. Last place in teacher salaries was Australia with 28,000 at the start. 15 years later it increased to 48,000 and there was no change.
The remaining countries were Denmark and South Korea. The salaries of teachers at Denmark begin at 45.000, then rose to 54.000 and remained at this level.
