The table below shows the worldwide market share of the notebook computer market for manufacturers in the years 2006 and 2007.

The presented table depicts information about the global market share of a different brand of notebooks classified into HP, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, Fujitsu-Siemens (F-S) and the ones that are not referred in the chart named as others, within two consecutive years, 2006 and 2007. The data is calibrated in percentage.

At first glance, it is immediately obvious that the HP contributed the largest proportion of the market share in both years, whilst F-S had the smallest share. Moreover, whereas the HP, Dell and Toshiba experienced a marked increase in the proportion of market over the period, the others saw a corresponding decline.

When observing data in more detail, in 2006 the most significant business share was recorded by HP brand with standing at 31.4% and increased steadily to reach the point of 34%. In comparison to the market share of the Dell computers, which rose to 20.2%, the figure for Acer Company declined to just over 10%.

The percentage of notebook sales of Toshiba firm was initially almost as similar as that of Lenovo, which was 6.2% and 6.6%, respectively, but while the former increased by 7%, the latter witnessed minimal fall to 6.2%. F-S again was responsible the least ratio of whole market (2.3%) at the end of the survey and the same trend was true for remained companies which decreased from 22.8% to 19.3%.
