A glance at the table given compares the market share of seven mobile devices manufacturer over the world in year 2005 and 2005. Overall, Nokia dominated the market and BenQ mobile lost significant sales over the two year period.
An inspection at the data reveals that Nokia remained as the most commonly used brand in 2005 and 1006. Numbering 32.5% in 2005, the sales of Nokia further increased for 2% to reach 35% in 2006. Second in terms of market share was others in 2005, when it stood at just below 20%. However, it was overtaken by Motorola in 2006, which sales came to marginally over 21%. In contrast, BenQ Mobile had the lowest market share in both years, with just 4.9% in 2005 and even halved one year later.
The companies with which the sales kept almost the same over the two years were Sony Ericsson, which raise slightly from 6.3% to 7.4% in 2006, and L.G., which sales dipped from 6.7% in 2005 to 6.3% in the subsequent year. Finally, Samsung, although recorded a slight drop in the sale, still had moderate level of market share at about 12%.
