Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter:
• thank them for the photos and for the holiday
• explain why you didn't write earlier
• invite them to come and stay with you

Hi Mary,

Thank you so much for the kind letter and lovely photographs we took on the holidays we had spent in Newyork. It was the beautiful time which all of us had spent during our holidays.

I am sorry, I could not write to you before, as the moment I had back from my holidays my mother fall sick, and she has admitted to the hospital. So I was taking care of my mother during the time she was in the hospital hence did not get back to you post-holiday trip. She has started recovering now, and hopefully, she will be back to normal in a couple of days.

You will be happy to hear that my sister got engaged recently and we have kept her wedding ceremony on 23rd, June, 2018.
She is getting married to a Software Engineer. It will be delighted if all your family members can come and attend the wedding ceremony of my elder sister and also if all of you can stay for sometimes at my house so that we can spend the time together in the way we have done in Newyork during our holidays.

Hoping to see you all on the occasion of my elder sister's wedding.

Best regards,
Vandana Mankotia
