Write a letter to a friend telling him/her that you’re going back to your home town and you want to give him/her some furniture. Please say
– why you thought about him/her
– describe the furniture
– suggest a way for him/her to get it
Dear Prashant,
Hello!!! I hope this letter finds you in the pink of your life. I would like to thank you for accompanying me. As you are aware, I was keen for a new job at my home town, Mumbai; the day before yesterday, they have confirmed my joining date. Before leaving, there are few furniture which I would like to give it to you.
As you have been very helpful during my stay, and also you are getting married and shifting to another spacious apartment in coming months; these things might be of great use to you. Above that, the furniture is hardly being used, and can definitely suite your apartment by filling in empty space.
There is a dining table with beautifully carved legs out from wood with the rectangular strong glass without any sharp edges above that, four wooden chairs which have same aesthetic colour combination as a dining table, and a wooden swing chair which is quite handy and can be hanged anywhere in the apartment.
I have asked the local transporter, he can get it delivered to your address or there is an application called Porter, which we can book it whenever you are available. Since I am leaving before next weekend, we need to get this done as soon as possible.
Share your new address and availability schedule, I will book the vehicle and share the details with you.
Yours faithfully,
Shreyas Parab
