Write a letter to a friend telling him/her that you’re going back to your home town and you want to give him/her some furniture. Please say
– why you thought about him/her
– describe the furniture
– suggest a way for him/her to get it
Dear Mike,
Hope you are doing well. It has been a long time since we last met. I have a piece of great news to share that I have cleared the interview of a Public sector bank and will be joining them as an Information Technology specialist. The best part is that the posting for this role is in my hometown. I am really excited and looking forward to this opportunity as I always wanted to work in my hometown and stay with my parents.
I remember the last time you visited my apartment and wanted to buy a custom-made dining table and chairs for your new flat as you were low on budget. So I thought of informing you that I will be disposing of most of my items here in Sydney to save on my shipping cost. To elucidate I had recently bought one custom-made dining table with chairs from IKEA. It is a made of teak with carvings of Japanese art on its legs and the four sides moreover there are four fancy chairs which have leather and foam seats to give extra comfort while sitting.
Why don't you come over to my apartment on the coming weekend to have a look at the furniture?. I also have a local transporter who can ship to it your house.
I look forward to your immediate response.
Warm wishes
Brian
