You and your family have recently moved to an English-speaking country.
The person who lives in the apartment above you plays a musical instrument,
and the noise causes you and your family some problems.
Write a letter to this person. In your letter,
• introduce yourself and give details of the noise
• describe the problems it is causing you and your family
• suggest what action the person could take
Dear Mr John,
I am writing to kindly bring your attention to issue of noise coming from your apartment.
My family and I have just recently shifted to an apartment right below your own. However, due to this close proximity
we are well in hearing range of your drums practice session.
Normally, this would be of no concern, but the problem is that these sessions always used to take place when we are attempting to put our 2 young to bed between 7-8 pm. Not only this is causing the difficulties
for them to sleep but also causing stress for my wife and myself.
By no means am I suggesting you stop the practice session rather it would be a huge help if you could just move your practice by an hour or two?
Thank you for your understanding and please drop by if you would like to discussion person,
yours sincerely,
Sumit
