Figures show that in some countries, there is an ever-increasing proportion of population

aged 15 or younger. What do you think the effect of current and future in those countries?

Nowadays, many countries have more and more citizens aged under 15, which exerts many influences in society in various aspects. My view is that this tendency has caused two – sides effects in those nations: disadvantages for the current situation and advantages for the future.

On the one hand, the increase of the young population is a burden of society and the government as mature citizens have to work harder to create the resources to support and raise the young well. For example, parents who have more than three kids now must allocate more force to work in order to earn more money to fulfill their obligations of providing foods, educations and other basic demands of the child. Adults have to pay more taxes to maintain the good social and welfare systems which provide assists not only for the payers but for a lot of children as well. Thus, the greater number of children need to take care of, the more burdens in the shoulder of adults.

On the other hand, those young population will grow up and contribute to social development as well as enrich the nations. It is obvious that in the next few years, those who are now young will become mature and able to work as a vital force of society. They are going to contribute their time, knowledge and strength to build a sustainable society, to complete their responsibilities and obligations for the countries that nurture them well.

In conclusion, this may be a burden of society for now, but this also embodies the positive prospects of country development.
