Essay topics:

In the modern world, it is no longer necessary to use animals for food, clothing or medicine. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Over the last few decades, people have had various breakthroughs in technology to produce essential products for humans without affecting environmental resources, especially animals. While several individuals claim that there is no need for humans to create food, clothing, or medicine from animals, there are a variety of reasons for me to believe this idea.

On the one hand, it is justifiable for some people to claim that animals can not be replaced by other things. One of the most noticeable signs is that animals play an essential role in various fields such as food, clothing, and medicine,... To be more specific, although there are a majority of breakthroughs in technology, we can not find alternative solutions for testing medicines, practice surgeries,... without laboratory animals like mice, rabbits, and so on. Moreover, animals provide a massive amount of food which contain high levels of protein, nutrients,... as well as are compulsory materials to produce some products such as medicines, clothes,...

On the other hand, there are numerous valid reasons to encourage this idea that we can produce many products without using animals. One of the most striking catalysts is an abundance of benefits to use the alternative products from nature as well as protect the animal, especially wild ones from their extinction as the overuse of humans. For example, every year, thousands of rare animals are killed, namely tigers, crocodiles, elephants,... to produce coats, accessories for the fashion industry. Also undeniably, people who have a vegetable diet can be healthier than others who have an animal-based diet. Besides, vegetables can prevent many diseases such as heart attack, cancer, stroke,... Those problems are partly caused by using animal foods that have high cholesterol levels. Instead, people can use some plants containing high protein for food like mushrooms, beans,...

In conclusion, with some worth considering reasons mentioned above, I believe that we can no longer use the products made by killing animals such as food, clothing, and medicine,... due to that they can be replaced by alternative ones like vegetable foods, artificial cloth,...
