The given pictures give information about the appearance of the floor plan of Walton Museum between 2008 and 2012.

Overall, it is clear that the South Wing of Walton Museum had experienced considerable changes during the period shown. The most noticeable differences between the two maps are the upgradation of the entrance and the expansion of the floor plan.

As can be seen from the plans, the shop, which was located in the middle of the first floor, overcame no changes over the given period, and the same was occurred with the gallery nearby. During the same period, the reception above became was narrowed and also added with the function cloacking, while a restaurant was constructed on the higher floor. To the northwest of the shop, the entrance outdoor was upgraded into the entrance hall with two terraces built above.

Turning to other features on the eastern and northeastern side, the stairs was demolished and expanded to make way for a lift. In addition, to the west of the lift, a children play area was constructed on the original site of the cloak room whereas the reading room above stayed unchanged. Moreover, there were also the construction of a exhibition room and a self-service café on higher floors.
