Essay topics:

Watching a live performance such as a play, concert, or sporting event is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Many people argue that attending live events is more entertaining than watching those broadcast on television. Personally, I completely agree with this view.
On the one hand, the option to view a show at home is attractive for several reasons. Firstly, audiences can save time and money by watching TV. Instead of spending time on booking tickets, choosing seats and waiting in line to enter a stadium, plays or sports fans can simply enjoy their show by just a click of a remote control. Furthermore, technology provides viewers with a lot of features, such as volume control, recap shows, 3D mode, etc.
Nevertheless, I believe that attending live events is generally a better option. The first reason is that a live event may give you unforgettable memories. For instance, if you go to a stadium to watch a football match, you can enjoy the unique live atmosphere and watch your favorite players or team in person, things you can’t get on a TV screen. In addition, socialization and networking can be improved by attending live events. At a live event, you can meet new friends with the same hobby or supporting the same team. You can share your opinions or cheer for your favorite team together.
In conclusion, it seems evident that both sides of the idea have their own unique advantages, but I maintain that watching a live performance is the best way to enhance the viewing experience.
