Jane Austen
The author claims that teenage girl of a portrait is Jane Austen and brings three reasons for supporting that. In contrats, the professor explains that the girl is a distant neace of Austen and refutes every reason of the author.
First, Austen's family confirmed that the girl was Jane Austen. However, the lecturer explains that endorsment was almost 70 years after Austen's dead and none of the family had seen her before, so they couldn't know her certain.
Second, the face in the portrait is similar to the one in Cassadra's sketch. In contrats, the speaker explains that some girls of Austen's family are so similar to Jane Austen. Thus, the portrait can belong to one of her distant family.
Third, the style of portrait is like Ozias Humphery who was living in the same time to Austen. On the other hand, the professor says that the style is totally different. He also explains that there is a stamp on the back of canvas which declare that the seller of canvas is William Leg. And William Leg didn't sell the canvas in London untile Austen was 27 years old. So in the time of portrait, Austen was older.
