The reading text and lecture are both about the how we can save the golgen grogs from the infection of the fungus. The author in regards to that provide the three different solutions, at the same time lrcturer disputes all these solutions and his position is that, all of these remedy is not effective to save the golden frog in area near the Panama river.
To begin with, the reading text suggests that, scientists has found one bacterium species, that produce the some kind of chemical which is the naturally control the growth of fungus on the skin of frogs. In contrast to that, lecturer said that, In early periods scientists has already done the experiments with bacteria and they found that, it is not an effective solution. On top of that, this bacteria produce that natural chemical only during their early colonization periods. After, make the big colony they stop they stop the production of it. To conclude, this bacteria only save the frog for the fraction of their lifetime.
Furthermore, reading passage claim that, if we breed the golden from in protect environment, away from the infected area then somehow we can get success in endanger the gold frogs. In contrary, professor believe that, this is not an effective solution of this problem. Because, If do breeding of frog in captivity. Then, other wild creature will carry this disease and spread out in the whole forest. As a result of that, when we return back that breed frog into the stream the problem become more severe tan what was in earlier period.
In last, the writer feels that, frog is having natural resistant mechanism in which it will heat up their body to protect themself from that fungus. On the other hand, tutor states that, heating up the body to save from the fungus is having a high draw back for the frogs themselves. Because, to heat up their body frogs require high amount of energy. If, the frogs will expanse of all its energy in the heating process. Then it will not able to distribute its energy for other function. So, it will become ill. which is more difficult for the frogs.
