The line graph below shows the number of annual visits to Australia by overseas residents. The table below gives information on the country of origin where the visitors came from.
The line graph clearly illustrates the number of tourist came to Australia between 1975 and 2005. Then the table depicts the amount of visitors from six different countries in the two years 1975 and 2005.
As far as graph is concerned, it is quite apparent that the figures for tourist in Australia increased over the entire period. The quantity of tourists was almost 9 million in 1975 and increased gradually to nearly 16 million. Over the next decade, there was a significant growth in the tourist figures, almost doubled in 1985 and rose steadily to 30 million at the end of the period.
Regarding to table, It is noticeable that the south Korean and Japanese tourist who visited Australia, shared nearly same figures in both years and exceeding the numbers from any other country. More specifically, Japanese increase from 2.9 to 12 million and South Korean tourist from 2.9 to 9.1 million. There was hardly any difference between the numbers of tourist from other countries.
To sum up, it would be quite true to say that the tourist figure went up during the period and vast of majority of tourist came from Japan and South Korea in 1975 and 2005.
