The given charts illustrate us the proportion of sales done in retail sectors through online shopping between the year 2003 and 2013 in Newzealand.
In the year 2003, travel accounted for 36 % which experienced a slight drop to 29% in the year 2013. Despite this decrease, it was still had the highest percentage of sales as compared to other sectors. For movies and songs category, the proportion was nearly a -fifth in the year 2003 which accelerated to one-third in the year 2013.
In contrast, clothes sale plummeted by 8 % from 24 % to 16 % in the year (2003-2013). While there was a minimal upward shift in the trend of sales in books by 3% ranging from 19% to 21% in the year 2003 and 2013 respectively.
Overall, the largest contributor of sales in all the given years was made up by travel and entertainment categories, whereas books and clothes amounted as the least proportion of sales.
