Overall, the salary of a family in 2013 was lower than the figure for 2010 which opposed to the trend of the expenditure on food and clothes while the money for food was consumed more than clothes over the period given.
In 2010, the average income of a family was £29000, and they spent nearly half of their salary on food and clothes. Particularly, the expenditure on meat and fish made up a quarter, which was higher than clothes 3%. Subsequently, 20% was the figure for fruits and vegetables, which was followed by dairy products and other food and drinks with 15% and 18% respectively.
