The pie chart illustrates the five different types of energy production such as coal, gas, nuclear, petrol, and others in France for two years 1995 and 2005.
Overall, there was an increase in the production of all sources except for petrol. Gas and coal is the primary source of energy in both the years whereas other and nuclear produce the least amount of energy.
Although there was a minimum rise in gas and coal production, they constitute more than half of energy production with 30.31% and 30.93% respectively in 2005. The other energy production was minimum with 4.9% in 1995 and the figures almost doubled in 2005 which makes up approximately 9%. The production of nuclear energy went up nearly 4% in 2005.
It is clear that energy production from petrol products takes up more than a quarter in 1995, but the percentage dropped to 10% in 2005.
