Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter
– explain why you changed jobs
– describe your new job
– tell him/her your other news
Dear Lina,
I hope you and family are doing well. I am writing this letter to describe the recent developments in my career.
It's been a while we talked to each and I remember the last time we spoke, I did mention that I was going to switch to another job because of a better payscale and a lot more benefits compared to the previous one. After joining, I came to know that the company was a startup and was going to be acquired by a larger company soon. I was pretty upset and disappointed after hearing this news. Although I spent a lot of time to find this one, this was not the right one for me. So, I decided to look for a new job.
I joined Forest City Enterprises headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio and it is provides real estate management services. I not only got a chance to work on multiple technologies, but I am also a part of the larger team now. Everyone on my team are very helpful and encourage me to learn the new technologies and company's business in a shorter period of time. I can't tell you how happy and satisfied I am my current job because my manager is friendly and made it very easy for me.
well, it has been a while we saw each other. I am planning to visit you for the Memorial Day Weekend. Please let me know if you have anything planned during this time. if everything works out in the job, I will eventually plan and get married this year. I know you are pretty surprised to hear this. let me know your thoughts on this.
I would love to hear from you and hope to see you soon. Don't forget to write me back dear.
Yours lovingly,
Shruthi
