Spanish is the third most spoken language in our planet; It’s is very likely to come across a spanish-speaking individual. By studying this languague, you are opening yourself up to people whom you would probably have never been able to talk to If it weren’t for your knowledge of spanish. Furthermore, people prefer to speak in their native tongue; Thus, If you learn someone’s local language, interactions will be more comfortable for him or her.
Second of all, today’s world is ruled by globalization; Massive media via internet is something almost every person has access to, so information is very easy to find. But the probem is that a lot of this data is in forign languagues- spanish being one of the most common. Therefore, if you were to learn a new a language, countless information would be unlocked for your understanding.
Finally, one of the most regular uses for foreign languages is traveling. Even though most of today’s spanish-speaking countries are adapted to help tourists, knowing the language of the country you are visiting can help you avoid bad experiences such as: paying higher prices, being stolen from, and many others. Some of the most famous cities from south and central america are habitated by spanish speakers, therefore learning spanish is a really good alternative if you want to visit the south-american natural beauty.
In conclusion, I would convince my new acquaintance to study my native language, for- because it is one of the world’s most used tounges- it has multiple uses, such as: talking to foreigners, searching information, and turism.
