Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrollment officer. In your letter
• explain why you are writing
• describe your circumstances
• ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enroll in the course
Dear sir,
Recently I read in the local newspaper that your college is offering a short-term website designing course during these summers. I am writing this letter to request you to enroll me in this course.
Firstly, I would like to share some of my background details. Since childhood I was keen of computer games and studying computers but unfortunately I never took it as a formal studies, as my parents wanted me to become a lawyer. However, I am a successful lawyer now and practice in state court.
I am still interested in learning computers and this course would benefit me as I could expand my law-practice experience by maintaining a website portal that displays my work. I wanted to request you to give me admission in this website designing course. It would be a great learning experience and an opportunity to attain my interest of studying computers. For any further information you could contact me at 401-258-9665.
I look forward for a positive revert from you regarding this matter.
Your's sincerely
Harry.
