3. You have not attended lectures at university for three weeks.
Write a letter to your professor. In your letter
- give the reasom why you missed the class
- say when you will return to class
- suggest how you can make up for the missed class
Dear Mr Dan,
I am writing this letter to explain the reason why I could not attend lectures for three weeks now.
Unfortunately, I have been admitted in Cally hospital, Lagos and I was diagnosed with kidney disease. Even though I tried to stay strong, this chronic ailment has kept me off my feet for a while.
As you know, the disease takes plenty of time and voluminous sum of money to heal, so making effort to tackle this problem will be my main priority for now, therefore, I cannot ascertain the precise date that I will return to class.
In order to catch up with my missed classes, I suggest I would need to suspend my studies and resume when I am healed. This is necessary because it would help me focus well on my recovery.
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your understanding.
Yours sincerely,
Annie Benson
