Given are six pie charts illustrating the proportion of water consumed for three categories, namely industrial use, agricultural use, and domestic use, in six various parts of continents, including North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia. As is shown by the charts, agricultural use accounts for the highest percentage in the areas mentioned above excluding Europe and North America.
A glance at the information provided reveals that the amount of water consumed for agriculture usage makes generally up for the high percentage. Of these parts of the globe, Central Asia consumes the highest proportion of water for the agriculture sector, constituting 88 per cent, whereas the percentage of water used for this purpose in Europe and North America is lower than the others, account respectively for 39 and 32%. In stark contrast, however, 84, 81 and 71 per cent of the amount of water consumed respectively in Africa, South East Asia, and South America are comprised of agriculture usage.
With regard to the charts supplied, by far the greatest proportion of water used for industrial sector, Europe consumes a staggering percentage, accounting for 53 per cent. Second in terms of this purpose is North America, standing at 48%. The percentage of water used for industrial usage in other areas of the world, meanwhile, constitutes beneath 13 per cent which Central Asia is the exclusive part uses the lowest percentage of water for this purpose, making up a mere 5%.
Looking at the information provided, we can obviously see that South America consumes the relatively highest proportion of water for domestic use, accounting for 19%, as opposed to the percentage of water used for this type makes up approximately under 10% in Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia. Conversely, European and North American residents consume large percentage of water for domestic usage, constituting respectively 15 and 13%.
It is interesting to note that consuming the lowest proportion of water for industrial and domestic usages, Central Asia uses the highest percentage of water for the agricultural sector. By the same token, the relatively high proportion of water used in Europe is comprised of industrial use.
