SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT INTERNET HAS BROUGHT PEOPLE CLOSER TOGETHER WHILE OTHERS THINK THAT PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES ARE BECOME MORE ISOLATED. DISCUSS BOTH SIDES AND GIVE OPINION.
Human relations, nowadays, have been significantly influenced by internet. It is perceived by one part of society that internet makes people’s relation stronger by bringing them close to each other; however, others consider that its impact on individuals make them remote and alone in the society. This essay will elucidate both perspectives along with presentation of my own opinion in the end.
On the one hand, people think that the internet brings people closer because of its various social websites. Owing to this, people can contact to their near and dear ones, who are living overseas, while sitting at their home and make their relations stronger. For instance, Mona, one of my bosom friends, talks to her parents not only on daily basis from Australia to India on Skype but also knows about their well-being easily. Besides this, youngsters make good links with others on various social applications: Face-book, Instagram and Snap chat, who are living in different parts of the country.
On the other hand, if people are having no contact with their surroundings and keep themselves busy with internet, then they become secluded. For example, children love to play online games, such as Pub G or Eightball poll, with other players on the internet and they do not want to interact with their neighborhood friends to play outdoor games. Therefore, in their free time, rather than intermingling with their friends and other family members, they prefer to remain occupied in their virtual world. Moreover, people do not prefer to go to their relative or friend houses as they talk to them on video calls. Consequently, their relations are becoming restrained and weaker.
To conclude, while people vary in their opinions, in my perspective, the internet is required for maintaining distant relationships, but not at the sake of breaking individual’s link with surroundings and making themselves isolated.
