Overall, it can be seen that the process by which the glass is recycled is a multi-step, cyclical process which consists of 3 stages: collecting used bottles, cleaning – heating and distribution to the customers.
In the first stage, customers put bottles in collection bins, and the used bottles are taken from customers, then transferring it by large trucks. After that, the bottles are cleaned using high pressurised-water, then classified into 3 types according to colour, which are green, brown and clear. In the glass factory, the bottles are converted into small pieces, and then exposed to an intensive heat.
At the final step of stage 2, the new liquid glass is poured into solid mould. In the third and final stage process, the glass bottles which were created are ready for packing and filling, and then being delivered to super markets and the process begins again.
