On a recent holiday you lost a valuable item. Fortnunately you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter
- Describe the item you lost
- explain how you lost it
- tell the insurance company what you would like them to do.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you to file a travel insurance claim for a DSLR camera that I lost during my travel to berlin. it was Nikon D35 series camera that I purchased from London three months ago at the cost of US$400. The policy number covering this item is TR5900CAM29.
During my 7-day stay at berlin starting on 1st april 2019, I used to carry the camera in my bag before it went missing. As it was an official trip, I had to attend several meetings in various places, I had to use public transport. In the evening of april 4th, I figured out that the camera is not in my bag. Though I called the offices where I attended the meetings, nobody could give information on the camera. I have already informed the local police station about the lost item.
I therefore request you to reimburse USD$360 in my personal bank account as per the travel insurance policy. I have attached the copy of purchase voucher of camera along with the copy of General Diary.
I look forward to receiving the requested money in my bank account at your earliest.
Kind regards,
Tasnim Fahmi
