Overall, the process has multiple different stagea, starting from water floweing into reservoir, and ending with electricity transmitted to national grid.
In the day time, the dam stays open so that water can proceed from river to reversible turbines, followed by two cases. One is that the force of falling water makes the turbines spinning that then generates electricity via generator in power station. Afer that this electricity will be transmitted to national grid system through power lines. The other is that the rest water continue to flow into low-level reservoir.
In the night time, this rest water flows back through turbines. As turbines are reversbile, water is pumped into the high-level reservoir where contains water in the day, prior to the production of hydroelectric that we have consumed in the daily life. Amittedly, hydroelectric power station have had significant role for human.
