During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.
Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter
* remind him when and where you met
* tell him what kind of job you are interested in
* say why you think you would be suitable for the job
Dear Sir
I hope you are doing well. I hope you remember me, the young boy sitting next to you on your flight from New Castle to London on last Saturday, 12th of March. You were coming back after signing the deal for a restaurant. One previously owned by your friend and has not been doing good business after the retirement of its head chef.
During our discussion, you told me that the restaurant requires hiring of some new serving staff and a head chef. As I told you that I am a chef and had been working in a restaurant in London. But, Iately, I have been thinking of moving back to my hometown New Castle, to look after my disabled mother. I have been looking for an opportunity to work as a head chef in new castle based resturant. You told me to forward my resume to you.
Since , experience and popularity are the two main aspects to be considered while hiring a chef. I fulfill them both along with an additional advantage of being familiar to the taste of people of my hometown. I have been working on some new recipes that I learned doing an international certification. They will help bringing innovation to the typical dishes being served. I am attaching my resume and certifications with this letter. I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Aaron Smith
