the cause of decline of literature books
The reading and the lecture are both about the decline of literature reading. Whereas the author of the reading states that this decline effects the comunity, the lecturer suggests that there are other than literature in modern days instead of litreture. The lecutrer casts doubt on the main points made in the reading by providing three reasons.
First of all, according to the reading, literature is the only thing to provide intellectual stimulation. However, the lecturer disputea this point. She says that in these days there are other things that can provide intellectual stimulation. Furthermore, she mentions that history, scince books that can increase of immagination and increase our knowldege of the launguge used in these books.
Secondly, the article states that the readers tend to read less benificial books. Nevertheless, the lecturer refutes this argument. She argues that in each era there is something replaces other. She points out in these days the television and music video or read a web can provide us with the same benifits literature books provide us.
Finally, although the article and the lecture agrees on the lack of these kin of books. But the reading claims that this problem is caused by the publishers. On the other hand, the lecturer belive that it is from the writers. She thinks that the modern writers made there books harder to understand even if the readers from the past finds it hard to read.
