Overall, Britishers spent more time on calling by phones throughout the period. While local-fixed line was called by for the longest time in all examined years, mobiles were seen with the shortest number of minutes calling
In 1995, people preferred to make phone calls through local-fixed line the most with around 70 billion minutes, this number grew steadily to reach its peak at 90 and remained unchanged in one more year. Then this figure began to drop to the beginning data, which was about 70 billion minutes
As far as national and international-fixed line and mobiles are concerned, the gap between these categorises was really significant in the beginning year with almost 35%. Although there was steady growths was seen in the number of minutes called through these two methods, this trend was witnessed in the figure for national and international-fixed line for the whole period, while the figure for mobiles rose remarkably after 1999 and ended up at roughly 45 billion minutes which was just about 15% lower than that of the figure for national and international-fixed line
