The pie charts compare the average of household spending in a country between 1950 and 2010. Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the greatest change was in the average of expense in housing.
In 1950, more outlay was housing just under three-quarters of all expenditures, and although it was still a popular household spending, by 2010 it had fallen to over one one-fifth of the total. At 11.2% food was the second most popular expense in household, following this, this figure rose significantly by 22.8% sixty-years later. After that, household expenditure on other was fairly low, at only 4.4%. However, this figure increased dramatically over a half of century around just under one out of every five.
Less change saw in the remaining three sectors. Spending on transportation and health care went up sharply to 14.0% and 4.5% respectively in 2010, but education gradually fell by 0.2% in the next six-decades.
