Overall, it is noticeable that Brazil, Indonesia, and Vietnam were the three countries where the production of coffee has increased over the past four years. In contrast, Colombia was the only nation that coffee production dropped over the period. Furthermore, the amount of coffee produced in Brazil was the highest, while the production of coffee in Vietnam was the lowest.
In terms of coffee manufactured in Brazil and Colombia, Brazil was the largest producer of coffee, with 0.7 million tonnes in 1990. After every five years to the end of the period, Brazil continued to increase the manufacturing of coffee at 1 million tonnes, 1.5 million tonnes and reached a peak of nearly 2 million tonnes in the final years. In contrast, while Colombia was the second country in coffee production behind Brazil at 0.6 million tonnes in 1990, the coffee manufacture of Colombia tended to decrease by 0.1 million tonnes every five years to the end of the period.
As for the coffee production in Indonesia and Vietnam, Vietnam was the country that had the lowest amount of coffee manufactured, at 0.1 million tonnes in 1990. Coffee production in Vietnam remained stable at 0.1 million tonnes in 1995 before increasing to 0.2 million tonnes five years later. In the final years, coffee production in Vietnam increased slightly to 0.3 million tonnes. Meanwhile, Indonesia was the third-largest producer of coffee, at 0.2 million tonnes in 1990 and remained constant at 0.2 million tonnes in 1995. Coffee production in Indonesia increased by 0.1 million tonnes every five years to the end of the period.
