The line graph illustrates the average amount of carbon was emitted by each person in various countries over the course of 40 years, starting in 1967.
Overall, it is immediately obvious that Italy, along with Portugal, experienced an upward trend, while reverse patterns were seen in the United Kingdom and Sweden. UK’s weight registers the highest figure over the period.
In 1967, a British released merely 11 metric tonnes. The statistic decreased gradually to around 9 metric tonnes in 2007. Likewise, Sweden’s rate underwent a dramatic fall to nearly 6 tonnes after peaking up at more than 10 metric tonnes in 1997.
In terms of Italy, its number raised steadily in the first 30-year period, which surpassed the rate of Sweden. Despite remaining stable in the remaining years, this nation was continuing to be the second-highest among all countries. Similarly, Portugal’s carbon emission by a person rose contemporary from approximately 1.5 to around 5 tonnes between 1967 and 1997. This was followed by slight growth in the last 5-year period.
