The graph illustrates the utilization and manufacturing of energy in the United States of America from the year 1950 till 2000. the graph also shows the future consumption for the year 2025.
Overall, It can be seen that the production of energy stayed below the consumption rate throughout. whereas, the unit of measurement, in this case, is BUT's (British Thermal Units).
Firstly, In the year 1950, there was minimal difference between using and making of energy which is 30 and 25 units respectively. At the same time, it can be observed that the trend remains with a gradual increase on both sides till the year 1975, which stands out at 60 for consumption and 60 for production. Secondly, there were a lot of fluctuations in both the trends after 1975 till 2000, but the gap between the both started increasing significantly. Lastly, the projected consumption by authorities shows a steep increase at 130, but the production still under the required units at 80.
