The given line chart illustrates how many shop closed, and how many other shops opened in one country between 2011 and 2018. Overall, it can be seen that the number of shops that had closed had decreased over the years. Likewise, the new opened shops’ number fell down over the years.
To begin with, in 2011, 8500 new places were opened to customers while 6500 shops experienced a clouser. In 2012, the number of new shops declined almost to the half, and only 500 places decided to close. From 2012 to 2014, the number of new shops jumped higher once again until it reached 6100 in 2014 whereas closed shops’ number was fluctuated over this period and stabled again at approximately 6500 in 2014.
Moreover, in 2015, the numbers of both new opened and closed shops have dramatically declined and reached 4000 and 800 shops respectively. From 2016 to 2018, the number of shop openings increased a few in 2017 before it experienced a decrease in 2018 to reach 3000 shops only. In contrast, the number of shops closures declined in 2017 before it increased to 5100 in 2018.
