In general, the percentage of women driving tests passed moved upwards and this became more and more popular throughout the timeline, while the proportion of Men driving tests passed had increased slightly over the period.
As far as the first period of the surveyed is concerned, the number of driving tests passed by Women was twofold compared to Men at the same time, in 1980. Moreover, the figure for driving tests of Women was recorded at approximately 51% in comparison with Men, in 1990.
Thereafter, in 2000, the proportion of driving certificates Women had reached a peak, with 69%, while the percentage of driving tests Men approached nearly 50%, in 2000. Eventually, in the next following 10 years, the pattern for the driving certificates of men was lower than for Women, with respective figures being nearly 49% and 62%.
