he charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework and households in one country between 1920 and 2019.
The first line chart compares the proportion of residence containing three particular appliances from 1920 to 2019 and the second one describes the hours of household work per week in that time in each homes.
Generally speaking, the accommodations containing refrigerator and vaccum cleaner incresed in the given period while the digit of households having a washing machine remained constant after a gentle increrase in the first three years.
Turning to the first line chart, In 1920, about 40% of houses had a washing machine followed by vaccum cleaner at almost 30%. Although in the opening year no residence had refrigerators, this figure exhibited a rapid growth to reach a peak in 1980 and stayed contant afterward. Vaccum cleaner also became a very common appliance in the given period as it siginificantly rose to 100% in 2000. In the last ten years every accommodation of the country had a vaccum cleaner and a refrigerator. Inspite of a gradual growth to 70% till 1960, the numbers for washing machine stayed under 75% untill 2019.
A glance at the second line chart reveals that, In 1920, the number of housework per week in each residence was the highest at 50% . However, these trend declined drastically to about 10% in 1980, and remained stable over the given time except a little dip in 2019.
