The following charts illustrate how Singapore's education system varied from 2000 to 2010. They show how long people typically went to school and what their highest level of education was.
Overall, numbers of spent years at school are growing at this period for males. Meanwhile, these numbers of years don’t have a noticeable change at the same period. Additionally, the university qualifications ratio of adults has increased clearly and significantly, while the percentage of high school qualifications has decreased significantly.
In regards to average number of years spent at school, Males used to spend almost 9 years in the beginning of the new Millennium, but in 2010 they spend almost 12 years. However, females have less marked trend. As they spent almost 8 years at school in 2000 then, changed this average to less than 9 years through ten years.
In regards to education level, data reveals that the ratio of university qualifications for adults has increased 4 times. Moreover, the percentage of primary school qualification has decreased significantly through these years, it is observed that ratio has fallen to less than one eighth. conversely, charts demonstrate that master qualification ratio of adults has increased significantly almost 4 times.
