some people believe that children should be given less responsibilities but others disagree. discuss both views
People have different views about whether children should be given fewer responsibilities or not. I believe that children should have responsibility according to their ability and age.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some believe that children should not be given many responsibilities. The main reason is that children have less experience and are more likely to make mistakes. This situation can make them disillusioned and demotivated to work hard to progress, as making a mistake may hurt their confidence and self-esteem. Another reason is that some parents are too lenient and permissive. Such parents try to do all of their children’s activities in order not to push them. These parents usually do not give any responsibility to their children just to show that they pay attention to their children, and they try to do their best to keep their children happy.
However, I believe that if parents want to raise respectful and well-organized children, they should give them some responsibilities based on their age and abilities. Giving responsibilities to children can prepare them for their adult lives. By some defined tasks for children, they can learn about the value of some good manners, such as punctuality, being responsible, and being independent. Such children usually not only are less likely to become self-centered and selfish but also are more likely to have good communication skills for working in the team. Additionally, children who are given responsibilities become more mature and goal-oriented, and they are taught how to solve and manage their problems in the future. Nevertheless, I also disagree with giving hard tasks and responsibilities to children because this situation can cause them to think that they are not as productive as they should be, which can hurt their confidence and increase the fear of accepting responsibilities.
In conclusion, in my view, children should be given neither fewer responsibilities nor many tasks.
