Given is a bar chart comparing the changing patterns of employment that were registered in six nations in 1995 and 2005 grouping by their genders. All in all, there was a growth in the general employment rate.
As shown in the information registered by male, the employment rate in Iceland was the highest, whereby 83% and 71% of men were hired in 1995 and 2005 respectively. Likewise, a similar growth was witnessed in Switzerland and Australia. Noteworthy is the fact that the data of UK, NewZealand and the US differed significantly in 1995, while they were practically identical at 70% in 2005.
In stark contrast, the female employment rate, however, was generally outnumbered by their male counterparts. In fact, such disparity was remarkable in Australia, Iceland and New Zealand, whereby the employment rate of women were less than a half of their male counterparts. By contrast, UK saw a considerable employment rate of 50% for female in 1995, despite the expansion of this cleavage in 2005.
Overall, men, to a considerable extent, were more likely to get hired from 1995 to 2005.
