The table below shows the percentage of the population by age groups in one town who rode bicycles in 2011.
Displayed in the table is the proportion of people according to five age groups who travelled by bicycles in one town over the period 2011.
Overall, females cyclists were more popular than males of all ages whereas children were the most interested in riding bicycles.
With regard to female, the percentage of age group 0-9 was higher than the figure for the 10-17-year-olds (51,3% and 42,2% respectively) while 17,1% of females rode bicycles in the 18-39 age group. Subsequently, the proportion of group between the ages of 40-59 accounted for 12,3%, which was lower than another group (18,5%).
In terms of males, the percentage of children group made up over a half, which occupied twice as many as the 10-17-year-olds group (24,6%). There was 9,7% males from 18 to 39 years old who rode bicycles while the proportion of males was lower than the figure for females by 4,3% in the 40-59 age group. Old people were over 60 years old who accounted for 13,2%.
