Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information given
The line graph illustrates the percentage of cinema attendance in the UK by age groups between 1990 and 2010.
At first glance, it was noticeable that the percentage of every age groups had fluctuated in the aforesaid period. it seems that the older generation had enjoyed watching movies than the younger people, as the aged of 44-54 had remained the highest percentage. Moreover, people who had gone to the cinema in every group age had dropped in the same period, which was started from 1995 to 2000.
As the graph demonstrates, we know that the percentage of every group had risen, but the group of age 44-54 had surged the most. In 1990, almost 38% of the aged of 44-54 citizens had gone to the cinema, however, for the next 15 years, people from this group had risen to over 50%. In addition, in this 20-year period, both groups of aged 14-24 and 34-44 had almost the same surge, which was approximately 15% to 21% and 37% to 42%. Furthermore, cinema attendance from aged 24-34 had increased by 9% in this period.
To sum up, it was evident that youngster had lesser demand on watching movies than the old age.
